Pizza Garden

Hi,
My name is Pam and I have "lurked" here for a while reading these wonderful ideas you've all shared. I decided to come out of hiding to tell you about my son's Pizza Garden..
He is 5 years old, and like many other kids, he loves to plant things and see the plants grow. I found the idea for a Pizza Garden on the web, and we planted one :-)
We dug a huge round "pan" and planted tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, basil and oregano. We used yellow marigolds around the edge for "cheese" and also used red mulch all over for "sauce"..It was loads of fun working on it, and it is doing great!
The picture is when the pizza was about 2 weeks old.It has been planted about 4-5 weeks now. The tomatoes and peppers are just starting to bloom, the onions are up and getting big fast, and the herbs are growing like mad!
I look forward to learning more as I read here, and look forward to meeting you all..
in friendship,
Pam
