This is really very informative my kids really love to cultivate them, but i am a bit allergic to worms, so i dont allow them to cultivate in house. even for their school homework i used get it from outside.
am planning to give a try after reading the article.

This is a great way to keep the kids outdoors. I had read a article published by the Ad Council at my job(the marketing company I work for is doing a campaign for them) that stated kids today spend 50% less time outdoors than they did 20 years ago.

Activities like cultivating worms are great ways to keep kids healthy and outside rather than locked in front of the TV. The National Forest Service is also embarking on a series of PSA's as well as a website entitled "Where the Other You Lives" which is trying to get kids outdoors enjoying nature.

So how do you make the worms compost things? Do you just put food items in the box and they make it compost?
