School project

Hi, I am a senior in high school, and for our senior year we have to do a project on our interests- but it also must be challenging. I decided to do my project on a catalog of all the plants in our yard(my mom is a garden web enthusiast too, our yard is virtually covered with every plant that will grow in the nw). All i need now is a mentor, person tha can help me with plant knowledge, but it can't be your parents. Can someone please help me? It would be greatly appreciated.

I think if you post this is the Northwestern Gardening forum you should get some help. I'm a novice gardener and live on the east coast so I don't think I could be much help
