Big Boys Garden

I have several varieties of veggies, peppers and tomatoes going in our raised bed garden.
My two boys -- age 4 and a half and almost 3 -- have also planted pole peas and bush beans. The peas have sprouted and are almost ready to start climbing.
The beans were just planted this weekend.
The beautiful wife/mommy has focused on growing berries and herbs, so we should have a well-rounded harvest this year if all goes as planned.
We have high hopes, so wish us luck. |

| good luck. I try and give my kids their own garden beds. We usually start them with a large container around age 2, so they don't have to battle weeds. By 7 or 8, they run me out of my garden beds. My oldest seems to do really well with his wildflower mixes. Everyone like the seed starting projects. Living in Alaska we definately need the head start. Gloria |

| I have two pots of strawberry plants. A few weeks ago, I sprinkled in a little bone meal. Today, I have about two dozen ripening strawberries turning red. My boys are very excited (as are my wife and myself). |
