Great reaction from my daughter

| We were gone for the weekend, and when we came back, our Canturbury Bells had bloomed. I was in the family room, saw them from a window, and called in my 17-year old to look out at them. Her reaction was one of indifference, like: "yeah, mom, really nice". But my 6-year old, who's going through a nosy stage, came in to see what we were looking at. As soon as she saw the flowers, she literally threw up her hands and gasped in delight. She turned and RAN out the door. The 17-year old and I watched and sure enough, the younger one ran to the flowers. She knelt down, and ever so delicately touched one, then buried her nose in a blossom. She continued delicately touching them, and telling them how beautiful they were. My older daughter and I were smiling at her reaction, and I told her, "Now THAT was the response I was hoping for! She is now officially my favorite daughter!!" It was great. |

| The four and five year olds I teach were thrilled when the lima beans we had planted sprouted and grew leaves. It's easy to forget the little miracles all around, but the kids remind me -- they are actually MY teachers! |
