| You mean you want roses to pick for bouquets? Plant hybrid tea roses. Check over on the Rose Forum for more info. |

| Hi yasin, do you mean for kids?? We took ours to the rose place (Petaluma Rose Co., back in 2003) and let them pick whatever rose struck their fancy- we made no hints for ideas to consider or judgements on what they chose. We just let them loose on the place to wander. Our son picked a HT "Sutter's Gold" and our daughter picked polyantha "The Fairy". If these are for kids, you may want to consider the thornless or near thornless roses. Though our kids have been around roses for years now, and never gotten hurt by rose thorns. A beautiful thornless "smellie" is Barbara Worl - we're putting it on an arch in our children's garden with its sport "Larry Daniels". As socks12345 said HT are always good for bouquets, however many are cultivated for perfection of bud form. As a result the fragrance sometimes takes a back seat on HTs. I like floribundas myself; you get a big fistful of blooms all on one stem. More blooms for your buck I say... One stem depending on the rose can be its own bouquet! And of course the OGR's are sooo fabulous too and smell divine. careytearose |
