Tire Swing

My husband is putting a tire swing in a tree for our sons. He has been looking for a piece to make it "swivle". The trick is that it needs to conect to a chain or rope at both ends. We have found the hardware that connects to a swing set but that will not work with the thickness of the tree limb. Can anyone help us?

RE: Tire Swing

My DH took a long length of ski/tow rope and threw one end over the limb and brought it down and wrapped it twice around the tire, then he threw the rope again over the tree limb and wrapped the tire again and then tied the remainder to the ropes coming from the top of the tire. Does that make sense?

Don't forget to drill a couple of holes in the bottom of the tire so that any rain water will drain out and not collect for mosquitoes.
