ALOOOOOHA! I'm back... miss me????

I'm baaaack!!!!! had a great time in Hawaii. Loved it! Good weather, well for my family from California, for us same as usual, but great time, great food, entertainment galore, shopping like crazy, got one orchid only, some white ginger, and others, couldn't find a grower, had no time to look for one really, but enjoyed every minute of it! Now, got to go on a diet.... grrrrrr, but, that's the way it goes.

Stayed away from the news, but there were talks of the disaster, so turned on the tube and couldn't believe it! Poor people! We're organizing a drive here, and it won't be in the millions, but every $ counts.

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and that the New Year will bring you lots of new plants, happiness, and prosperity!

Sounds like a fantastic time!! I'm jealous lol So getting the urge to do some traveling but must get the house in order first. Our puny little hurricanes seem so insignificant when compared to the tidal wave disaster.
Makes you wonder what's in store for '05 ?? lol.

Welcome back! Only got one orchid, eh? Remarkable self-controll! =) Hawaii is definitely a place I would love to go some time. They have some amazing private gardens that you can tour.

As for the tidal wave, it's insane! I can't imagine how powerful those things are, and how terrifying it would be to see one coming at you. I heard it was more powerful than several nuclear bombs. Just goes to show you that humans are not as powerful as we think we are! I really hope those people can get food and clean water before it's too late! Our news here said last night that the death toll could DOUBLE if they don't get help very soon. So sad!
