That's my feeling on most matters too. There was another one a little smaller than this that is doing well also. I'll put it in something like this. Think this is the right type of set up for a fern?

I'm not 100% sure that it's really a fern. Although there's certainly no harm in experimenting and trying to grow it like that. What was it growing with?

It popped up in a scotch bonnet but I got it as a hand me down and the soil is kind of heavy. It's really loamy and rich.

It looks great but some ferns just don't like being indoors at all. Depends on the type and if they're perennials or not. I guess if it sprouted indoors then it'll do fine indoors. Mine are all perennials outdoors that die back every winter and then pop up in the spring.
