Do you have bromeliads? They probably hatched in them. Or pitchers? Anything with a rosette that can hold water could have hatched them. You have to wash off the plants too :) I would remove all standing water to be honest. They can't lay larvae in dirt. Just remove anything that holds water until they are all gone.

That would be all established and rooted broms and the entire bottom of the set up! Is there any other way? If I have to take out the broms (that are well rooted) and empty the tank...again, I would be better off just getting rid of it and starting a new set up!? I do wash off all plants I place in the tank, thats why Im surprised that they are back? any other way? any one?

right, but when you cleaned the tank out because of the larvae did you clean the broms? The water in the broms will go stagnant too. I've seen all kinds of neat stuff grow in my larger ones (they hold around 2 cups of water or more). You don't have to dump it, but I would at least flush the broms and do regular water changes in the water feature.

Yes, I did clean the broms out, and I flush them at least once or even twice a week, and I never changed the water in my other set ups and have never had this prob in those? also, the water in my set up is constantly circulating? If anyone has any other advice, please let me know! Thanks deadhamster! =)

sticky traps work wonders.

You could try adding some organic insecticide to any 'large' bodies of water or spray some all over. Organic insecticide shouldn't harm any creatures in your terrarium, always check the label before use.
