Amazon swords anyone??

My terrarium is 35 gallons, and is dicided so that half is "land" and half is a pool of water with a recirculating pump that sends water down a small "fall" made of coral and shells back into the pool.

Does anyone know if the common aquarium plants, Amazon Swords (Echinodorus) can be grown with their roots in the water and leaves out in the air, ie not submerged, as is commonly done in an aquarium?

Ive done it, but with mixed success, some dried up some did well while they were small, but dried up when they grew a little bigger, maybe a pygmy Amazon Sword might work? but I havnt seen those for sale for a while, you could try those bamboo that you see for sale everywhere, itll give you the same look, but in the end its up to you =) Good luck either way! =)
