Design a perfect little world with these terrarium vessels, plants and artful extras
Full StoryI'm setting up a terrarium and would like to add some hermit crabs. I plan to use fast growing Irish moss as ground cover. I plan to use coconut husk and spagnum / peat moss as the material where I'll plant all of my leafy friends. I thought the hermit crab might have quite a good time digging through all of that stuff!
Is this safe for a hermit crab? Are there any plants I should avoid? Will the hermit crabs eat the ground cover? The terrarium will be relatively dry, so I'm not worried about the exoskeleton going all soggy. Of course I'll feed it on a regular basis and provide plenty of extra shells. The aquarium wonÂt have direct sunlight, and IÂll also make sure that my little friend has a place to get into the shade.
I'd appreciate any links, suggestions, etc. Thanks in advance!
