Hello, this is my first post here. I have 2 successful terrariums going now, thanks in part to a lot of the posts I read on here before getting started.
I have a few questions about plants I can use in a terrarium with a waterfall. I wish I could post pictures, but I don't have a camera on hand, so I'll do my best to explain.
It's a 12x12x18 exo terra glass terrarium. I built a waterfall in it using the guide on blackjungle.com, which works great. It started up top, and flows over a log where is then drops about 6-8" onto another log, then drizzles down the left side of the log. The bottom is completely water, no soil in the terrarium at all. I tried to contain the water to one side of it using moss and silicone, but alas, it crept over to the right side and started disturbing the plants I had in there (mainly tillandsias).
Now I have a few epiphytic orchids in there, who seem to love the water splashing on them, and I even got a really cool mushroom grow right out over the waterfall a week or two ago, but since I took most of the plants out it looks really empty.
Are there any epiphytes that don't mind lower-light conditions and can take being lightly sprinkled all the time?
OH and I'm also looking for some sort of ground cover (or log cover in this case) that also likes being wet all the time and doesn't need to be rooted in soil.
Thanks a lot for the help!
