How to get rid of mould in a White's Tree Frog set-up?

Okay... I've had a small problem with mould in my White's tree frog's vivarium. I had a hidey log which seemed to go really mouldy really quickly so I got rid of it and added a new branch instead (by ZooMed). I've only had my frogs for about 3 weeks or so so my viv is still relatively immature but the mould issue is bugging me...

I added this new branch a week ago and already it is covered in a thin blue mould. I've been told to just scrape the mould off and eventually the viv and the branch will calm down... Is this right?? Because it sure doesn't look very nice and I'm also worried that it might be harmful to my frogs if they ingest a bit or sit on a patch of it for too long...

Any advice much appreciated!!!!!

Try uysing some type of driftwood that does well in a humid set up, like cypress or something, also, do you have a fan circulating the air? that helps a bunch =)
