Walk in

I have a green iguana whom I have adopted from a rescue. He has had a rough life and I would like for him to live out the rest of his days in comfort.

At the moment I have him as somewhat of a free roamer in an office of mine. This office (18'X9') has concrete floors and I would like to transform it into his own "lagoon", if you will. Would this be feesible? I was thinking of removing the carpet and using a latex paint on the walls (to help prevent mold). My thoughts are to have a raised platform and reinforcements that would hold a preformed vinyl pond with a filtration system, as well as a 4'X8'X2" rectangular pond on the ground. I am looking to have maybe a small bridge, cat walks, and the standard terrarium stuff like driftwood, and plants. Would I be better off with converting a solarium into this vision? Any resources to obtain large driftwood in Southern California (to save on shipping)?

Any thoughts, or insight about a project like this would be greatly appreciated

Thank you,

RE: Walk in

Please dont forget that they are basically arboreal, I only saw them come down to eat as the hotel I was staying in(Western Rio Mar Golf and Spa Resort)has a "feeding time" for the iguanas! Its cool the way some of them just jump down from the trees! Im talking 20 30 feet! and scramble over to the food without injury! So as tall, and as many, a tree/palm/banana plant, or combination of all three as you can get would make the little guy feel right at home. OK...as I punched the little keys on my lap top I get a knock at the door, a friend of mine with a friend of his that has a Black Emporer Scorpionthat he no longer wants!? Gotta go set up a new (temporary) terrarium!
