Ground Cover for Carniverous Terrarium 'Soil' Mix?

Posted by nyccoconut 6 (My Page) on

Hello!

I have a typical mix of sphagnum moss, broken-up styrofoam packing peanuts, and long-fiber sphagnum. Of course, I've added plenty of charcoal at the bottom.

Does anyone know of any ground cover that will grow in this mix? Baby Tears... doubtful?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

If kept moist, Selaginella will grow well in that. Java moss might as well.

Ah! Perfect! Someone suggested both of those on a Carnivorous Plant forum. I've had experience with Selaginalla, but love Java Moss.
