New residents!

I went out to a new garden store today. its a little mom and pop shop in Coopersburg, PA. I picked up 3 very small stag horn ferns (free) a 2 1/2" pot of babies tears ($1.50) and Denro of some sort cutting (free) and spider plant cutting (free) and a small pothos(free) I was hoping to get some help with the Dendro. the woman who gave me this only told me that it is a Dendro and that I would have some fun trying to grow it. the cutting has fairly thick white roots and elongated rounded off leaves, it isnt much to look at. are these things hard to grow? what do I need for it? I have some orchid food, should I give some to the Dendro now or wait? I am sorry for all these questions I just dont know much about it.

Try the orchid forum, there are a lot of knowledgable people that can point you in the right direction! :)

Ditto Gianne! I gather that you are a newbie to orchids (if not, no offense!), so perhaps read the FAQ questions on the orchids forum that deal with Dendrobium orchids before posting your question. It's probably not a 'cutting', but a 'keiki', or 'baby'. I wouldn't fertilize just yet. They like lots of light, drying out between waterings, and can get very tall eventually, depending on the variety.

Sounds like you've found a very good little plant shop, BTW!
