Never mess with a 'mad' tester. They are just like a 'mad' evil scientist. You never know what they are doing.

Goodness sakes, TEX!!! You certainly have been busy! I read this morning what was posted near the end of a "particular" thread that I started back in December...Wow!...but I won't comment on that. We then left for a short trip out of town, and just got back an hour ago, and I came here to see that the thread is gone...Good work, Tex! I don't know if any more conversation went on after I read that poster's lengthy comment, but maybe it's better it's all gone!!! Julie

Good work, Tex! Thank you! Some people simply don't have the intelligence to vote...which sadly, is why this country is headed in the direction that it is. The attempt to use 'big' words and phrases(apparently to make themselves sound more credible) were written without merit. The 'state' that this country is in speaks for itself, and only the ignorant will believe a fool. The statement about being a good speaker vs a babbling fool(not the exact words...but) have nothing to do with being a good leader. Stephen Hawking can't even speak a word, but yet he is the Einstein of this generation. Besides, reading a teleprompter isn't a substitution for being a good speaker/leader, and talking off the top of your head as Bush did, well, at least he was talking 'to' the people, and NOT reading to them. The above statements are my views and my views only. Readers are encouraged to make their own decisions and opinions. Kt

Sushipup, my tests worked when I pressed 'Preview' but did not work when I pressed 'Submit'. Back to the chalk board... Kt

The attempt to use 'big' words and phrases(apparently to make themselves sound more credible) were written without merit. As I was reading that post, I wondered if those words indeed came from the poster's own thoughts, or if the words were copied from somewhere else and pasted in that (now gone) thread. Just a rambling thought... With all the cuts being conducted around the country I wonder when and where WELFARE cuts will be made?!?!? I'd better not get started. Julie

Yes, I agree about the choice of words...sounded to me also that they were from someone else's mouth. ...where WELFARE cuts will be made?!?!? They won't be made, since those are the voters that got him elected and will vote for him again. Don't bite the hand that feeds you, right? That's why you should be a working citizen of the U.S. of A. and I believe you should own property and/or a business to be able to vote, since it's the workers who are paying the taxes in this country, not the free loaders, but it's the more numerous free loaders who are electing our presidents since they outnumber the working class. Yes, don't get me started. Sorry. Oh, I'm testing again... Kt

I hear ya! What kills me is when I see welfare recipients driving Rolls Royces! J.

We had a client come in the other day complaining that they couldn't pay their bill and wanted to make monthly payments, which we do not normally do unless they owe a lot and we know the people well. The sob story went on for several minutes about how they had a hard time making ends meet, but that fell on deaf ears as I glanced out the window and saw that they drove up in a new Hummer. Some people need to get their priorities straight. Kt

Sob story...oh, brother! Some of the welfare people around here live in run down apartments, but they sure know how to install huge boomboxes in the trunks of their Cadillacs! Julie

Haha! I thought only 'we' had those kind of people down here! LOL! Here's some news from my area. Makes me angry. I was paying my credit card bill tonight(before it was overdue) and noticed that there was a charge from a "DRI*CAComsoftware in Minnetonka, MN. for $76.75 which I didn't make. Long story short...the credit card company said they would be putting the money back in my account...whew, that was easy. A robbery happened down the road from here about 10 days ago. A couple in their late 80's, who live at the end of a dead in road, had a home invasion at around 1:30 am as the man was up watching TV. The door was busted down and two men came in with ski masks and robbed them. They were tied up. Last week several robberies in the area starting down the road from my brother, robbing a house also directly across from him, and finally ending with robberies in the next county, for a total of about a dozen homes being robbed, were all done by one man from Bastrop who was 43 years old. No one was hurt and as far as I know, no weapons were used. He just broke in and stole what he could carry, leaving several guns which were in plain sight, and in one home he only took two bottles of cologne...maybe to drink? Anyway, luckily by chance, as one of the first homes was being robbed, the owners drove up and the robber came from behind the house with his hands up and told them he didn't take anything, he just needed directions...yea right. I know everytime I walk into a gas station to ask for directions I hold my hands up in the air. Isn't that common procedure? Anyway, they called the PD and the description of the car was relayed to neighbouring counties and he was caught. I live just over a hill from the road but the DPS Trooper living across from me mostly works nights so his car is at home during the day so I think that helps. Things like this just don't happen around here. A lot of people never even lock their doors, well, until now. Kt

..the credit card company said they would be putting the money back in my account.. Yes, if you have a reputable credit card company, they have experts who know how to check out the "false" charges. That happened to me once, and the problem was promptly cleared up. I'm glad the folks in their 80's were not hurt. Being tied up was surely scary though! Although, some of those old folks are braver than people in their 20's. Stupid thief...holding his hands up in the air...a dead giveaway. There was a time when we used to be able to leave our back door unlocked, even when we lived in the city, back in the early 70's. Now we lock our door all the time, even though we're so far out in the country. Glad to hear no one was hurt during that string of robberies. Be safe! Julie |
