Miele washer W1918 replacement

I hv stackable Miele washer W1918 and dryer T1570C. After 7 yrs, the washer gave out and rubber burning smell and smoke followed with each spin cycle. A rubber ring even came out from the wash. A miele tech person inspected it and said it's beyond repair. Since Miele no longer makes either model, I will have to replace both washer and dryer. First, i never expected a Miele to give out after 7 yrs with the top $ I paid. Second the dryer works fine and no reason to spend more $. I spoke w/ Miele and the rep said I can buy an universal stacker so I can use another model for the washer. Problem is no one wants to make recommendation on other brands besides Miele. I cked out Bosch Axxis Plus and it seems compatible but the store applicance said since it's different brand, they won't install it... any suggestion?
