In The News II

Just continuing the discussion of the 8 year old girl giving birth to a baby.

I agree with all of the comments that the people are saying. Wack his pp off and lock him up for 30-40 years.
Discussing.

And pardon my stupidity but how young can a young girl get pregnant. Can a girl at age 6 or younger get pregnant?

I wonder if this girl isn't older than stated.

RE: In The News II

That is what I was wondering...when exactly did she go through puberty?

I do know that if a woman waits to have children until she is older, say in her 40's, then there is a 'longevity' gene that is passed on and after several generations, the life span of the offspring is much longer, and I think it is reverse for having children at an early age, then puberty will happen sooner for the offspring and life expectancy will also be shorter...another reason to WAIT until you are older to get pregnant, instead of while you are in high school.

Brothers win lottery.

I read that article earlier in the day. By time they get done with the courts, lawyers, etc., they won't have anything left from the $75,000. Plus they have a criminal record now.

I think most intelligent Koreans would not believe that most Americans live in poverty. I've known several Korean families through my lifetime who have come to live here, and they are highly intelligent.

It just goes to show, that if guns aren't available(if they are taken away from the public) they will just use another weapon.

So do we need stricter knife laws? Maybe a background check to buy steak knives, or a waiting period to purchase an ice pick?

I had hopes that being younger he would have turn his country around for the better. But I guess all of that brainwashing from his grandfather and father have done it's toll.

China has got to start stepping in here.

I will admit that the USA should have not sent those B1 bombers over there. All they are doing is adding fuel to the fire. What do you do with a kid throwing a temper tantrum? You ignore them and then they will see that their action is not getting them anywhere.

Plastic guns...what next?

j

 o
RE: In The News II

You are both welcome, Sandy & Jule.

I've been hearing about the plastic 'printer' gun for a while, but I am more concerned about a small 'tube' gun. I mean, why go through all of that trouble for a plastic gun, when one can be built which isn't much larger than an ink pen.

Particularly a small caliber such as a .22 could easily be built out of ordinary materials found around the house, and it could be made to look like a laser pen, or a thick ink pen...pretty scary.

Also, what about the bullets?? If the reporter would have tried to get on the train with common bullets, he would have been detected, correct?

Kt

 o
RE: In The News II

I've been hearing about them too, and have been curious about them but not enough to do a search. Interesting to see what they look like. Kind of like a squirt gun. And only one bullet.

Tube gun? Now that could be real trouble in the right/wrong(?) place, but not rapid fire, either.

They passed the medical marijuana law but didn't provide any clarification on it's use. What a mess! If they use it in their home I have no problem with it but step outside of the home and you have a problem. Just legalize it and be done with it.

RE: In The News II

The man and his wife are clients of ours and I know her and her family very well. One of her older brothers lost his wife to cancer only a few weeks ago.

The wife lost her cat a few days ago and her husband was home early to surprise her with a new kitten when she got home from work. He was not normally home that early. He was tied up but managed to talk the two robbers into letting him drive his pickup to the bank since someone might notice his truck with someone else in it. They agreed...big mistake on their part. They live just down the road from my house here.

The robbers were brothers and were dressed as women and wore masks, but when the one in the backseat of the pickup removed his mask and reached down to pick up his dropped cigarette, that's when the kidnapped man reached for his gun and then unloaded it on the two thieves. He is a lefty and kept his gun in his door compartment.

The two robbers were dropped off at the house of the victims by a third suspect, and then he/she went south of town by the airport to wait for them to be driven there after the robbery and then drive back to Rock Island, about 12 miles south from Columbus..

It's just not safe anywhere anymore...

 o
RE: In The News II

J.

 o
RE: In The News II

Yes, too close for comfort indeed. I guess I will be moving back to Ellinger soon, but then with a population of 200 people, it's way too big for me also, maybe Rosnov.

In the video, the first building is of the Columbus State Bank, one of the banks I deal with. In other shots, you can see the police station, the old Stafford Opera House, the Court House, and other buildings. Strange to see them on the evening news under these circumstances.

The wife is still a nervous wreck. She is a timid person anyway, so to speak, and had a run in not long ago with another gun being pointed in her face. I hope she recovers OK.

Kt

The court house was in several scenes in the movie "Baby The Rain Must Fall" starring Steve McQueen and Lee Remick...just a note.
