The form.

I don't have the bandwidth to permanently host images for anyone other than myself but it's okay to test if you want. Just don't post in another thread because I'll be moving the script files soon, and deleting any uploaded images in the process.

  1. Nothing fancy, I'm not a programmer.
  2. Although it's no frills, it's no ads, no crap.
  3. It only accepts jpg, jpeg and gif. It was producing black thumbs with pngs and bmps. I may fix it but I may not.
  4. Accepts any(?) size image.
  5. Checks width, if more than 640 pixels it creates a friendlier reduced sized image with a width of 640 pixels.
  6. If successful, it returns the HTML code needed to post the image.
  7. If a smaller image was produced, the smaller image is displayed but clicking the image opens the full sized image.
  8. Keep in mind, this is not necessarily meant to be useful... I was just killing time.

An actual test.

This code for this image was returned by the above form. It's nice not to have to type the HTML in, and better yet not having to manually create the thumbnail.

I normally go for only very simple themes etc. because for me it's got to have contrast to be readable and not cause eye strain. I can't do dark backgrounds, esp. when the text is not much lighter. If I really really need the info, I'll try highlighting it to read it, if that doesn't work, I hit "Back" and search for it elsewhere.

I sorta like this Firefox theme, at least for a time.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/walnut-for-firefox/

I need the selected tab to contrast more though. I have to slowly and deliberately close tabs now, and still sometimes accidentally close the wrong one.

New Ubuntu 12.04 install, still trying to tweak it. Runs faster than my other box with Ubuntu 10.04 but it needs a lot of tweaking to suit me. For now at least, they can shove keep "Unity". I can almost foresee a day when... I go back to Debian?... or something else? Not quite yet though.

I was surprised to catch myself liking Windows 7. I can still boot to it if I need it.

One of these days my electricity is going to go out for long enough that I'm assigned a different IP. My pictures will vanish. My music will fall silent.

Doesn't matter.
