| Hello,
Our gunite pool here in metro ATL has been "curing" for about 2 weeks. Our PB sent me an email the day after the gunite was put down asking that we spray it down once a day for a week, but it was "OK if we missed a day". I have since done some research, because the surface is not only rough and uneven looking, but dry and crumbly with good sized chunks of loose concrete all over it. Some info I've found on the internet say gunite takes 28 days to cure. Others say to water it "at least 4 times a day". Our PB says that it only needs watering once a day for a week and beyond that serves no purpose (it's been pretty hot and mostly dry the past 2 weeks). I want to trust him, but am a worrier by nature. Is dry-looking, crumbly gunite ok? Any expert or semi-expert opinions are much appreciated. Thanks! |
