Hello,

I'm fairly new to this site. While trying to learn more about how to use it I noticed that there are a lot of broken links on the Using the Garden Web Forum page. I didn't try all of the links but every one I tried gave me this

That's strange. :( The link I found for that board is here -- http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/newgard/ Maybe you are coming across old links? Perhaps they moved things in the past. I haven't had any trouble with broken links recently.

Here is a link that might be useful: GardenWeb Forum Page

I did some more checking. Looks like all the links on that page start with http://www.gardenweb.com/forums/ but it really should start with http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/

How does one get in touch with the admins of this site? I'm pretty computer savvy and would like to offer to help with things.

Since I'm new to gardening, I can't really offer help to others until I get some experience with gardening but I CAN help with my computer expertise.

Thanks.

Where are you finding those links?

Use the link Hellokitty posted, or look at the very top of this forum (Test Forum) and click on OTHER FORUMS and you will find dozens of topics.

You also might want to check out the link below.

Sometimes a picture explains it better.

It's really no big deal to me. I know how to get around it but I just wanted to point it out to whoever supports the web site.

just wanted to point it out to whoever supports the web site. Excellent idea!

Just scroll down to the bottom of this page, see "Contact Us" and send them a message. Please let us know what they say about it.

Good point. Can't believe I didn't think of that. D'uh!

Thanks.

Oh that is helpful! I don't think I have clicked that link before on the forums page -- http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/using.html. I am sure the folks at GW will appreciate your email about. :)

So, Iamz, have you heard back from GW? I'd like to know what they say about that.

No. I submitted the "Contact Us" form on the 23rd and linked to this post. Still no word back.

Sue_va,

Is this the one?

Sue & Sue,

are you by any chance part of the support team for this site? I sent an email using the Contact Us link but haven't heard back.

So you think that anyone named "Sue" is part of the support team? I don't understand.

I know a "Sue" that needs support, but not part of any Support Team.

kentuck_8b,

HA-HA. Of course not. The reason I thought maybe they were was because it was apparently posted by "the other Sue" and directed to a "Sue" so I assumed they were both Sue and the question was "Is this the one?" which made me think that maybe the first Sue had pointed it out to "the other Sue" and she was trying to make sure it was the right post before trying to fix it.

Yes, a lot of assumptions but it was worth a try.

Hi iamzvonko,

Sue and I are cyber friends from the KT (Kitchen Table Forum). Sue_va emailed me about the new feature GW rolled out recently. It is described here...Older posts - Please read She wrote me that she had posted to a thread here at Test, but it was now gone and she couldn't find it via a search of the forum. I found it via Google search (her name and test forum, maybe) and posted to it to see if it would bump it back up onto the list of threads.

Taadaa!

Sue & Sue,

are you by any chance part of the support team for this site?
No, just two curious Sues.(sp?)

Both curious, but you can see who is the smart one! I didn't think about googling for it.

Thanks, Sue!

Iamz, try again. They get a lot of messages, I guess.

P.S. I tried to use an image here, but no matter which one I tried, it was way too big. So now I have to go back to the drawing board.

I'm still not very computer savvy, but I did learn quite a bit of HTML coding here at Test.

soooo...deducing here...when searching the whole GW site, from any search box at GW or The Home Site, it won't include the posts from here at The Test Forum. Well, aren't we 'special'?
