Growing vegetables during winter in Georgia

Hello everyone. I am interested in growing some vegetables during the winter. I live just south of Macon GA approximately 1 1/2 hours south of Atlanta.

After doing some research on this discussion forum I think I would like to try growing carrots, broccoli, and radishes. Are my choices correct for winter growing? Additionally, if these vegetables can be grown in the winter, have I waited too late in the season to plant the vegetables listed above?

Due to space limitations I will be using smart pots to grow in. This past summer I had good results with tomato plants in my smart pots (though I did fight a nasty battle with stink bugs) and thought "why not try something during the winter?"

Thank you in advance for any thoughts, suggestions, or comments you may have.

What is your growing zone there?

Carrots and radishes are warm weather plants, but don't know about the broccoli. If you have a greenhouse then it would be OK, but they will need protection from severe cold weather.

P.S. I use dumb pots.
