Seed Starting Date for 08?

Here in Knoxville it is always a gamble, so lets here your bets:

When will the last frost be this year? As a followup question, when are you starting your seeds this year? (indoors)

I'm betting a false spring like 07 with the weather warming in late March or early April but getting another cold snap in mid to late April. I'll be starting my seeds at the end of February (about the 24th).

Is there going to be a spring swap for Knoxville in 08? I rarely visit this forum and I didn't see a recent thread about it so I wasn't sure.

We are having an East Tennessee/Knoxville Plant Swap! The date still isn't in concrete, so it hasn't been announced yet. We are trying to miss some of the other gardening related events.

I am fairly sure it will be held at Admiral Farragut Park like last year. We should have a date very soon. Any input on the date (or even the place for that matter) is welcome.

If you could get access to the data (from NOAA maybe), it might be helpful to chart out the last freeze date for the last 10-15 years. This might be valuable in determining a current pattern.

Yea, i think the average is somewhere around April 15th but living in the valley we get crazy weather patterns and sometimes the last frost is in March, sometimes May.

April 15th is the date that I think I've heard for a very long time. If so, I bet it's likely to have changed now that the weather patterns have changed so much. I wonder if that is still the average, if you look at just the last 10 years. I'd also be interested in how far off last year's "late freeze" was from that new average. Was it a late freeze or a premature warming, and has there been similar but less severe patterns similar to that in the past 10 years?
