Got a new pool ..need help with plant selectionS

Any suggestion on low maintence plants that a little salt water will not hurt?(pool is salt water) I like the idea of tropical plants which are the best for here in Knoxville? I don't have a watering system so any watering will be done by hand. Also any good Sod farms you have had dealings with would be great...

Coming up with salt tolerant plants is easy, but salt tolerant tropicalesque plants would require a little research. You might be able to get a quick answer from people in the Tropicalesque Gardens Forum if no one speaks up here.

I've never bought any sod.

Stay away from water lettuce. It will take over the whole pond.
