Doing some early scouting too...

Does anyone here who is going to the spring swap happen to grow Coreopsis Tripteris? This is the one that gets very tall, up to 6 ft.

It's on sale right now at Bluestone Perennials, but I thought maybe I'd ask here first and see if someone had it and might want to trade in the spring. :) If you have it, please let me know and we'll see if I have anything you might like. :) Thanks!

I have coreopsis but not the tall variety you want. 'Jethro Tull' and descendants of some a 'Sunfire' (cultivated from seed) but not C tripteris. Had a 'Limerock' something or other but I'm, pretty sure it's toast. Love coreopsis though! I have some seed for C. tinctoria I think? I think that's the midget one if I remember right.

Dave, I bit on the Limerock and mine is toast too. :)

If no one has it, I think I might order from Bluestone.

If you get it you can always make more - propagate! ;)

Scouting my catalogs, Heronswood has a new C. Tripteris "Lightning Flash". 6', yellow flowers with golden-yellow foliage. Of course, not on sale, :(

That sounds interesting Wanda! *off to google it*

I googled it...very striking! Wow, Heronswood is expensive!

Connie found some seeds for it at Prairie Moon Nursery. The nursery has a good Garden Watchdog rating but I've never ordered from there.

Here is a link that might be useful: Prarie Moon Nursery Coreopsis Seeds

Yes, I agree "Expensive", I have never ordered from them! Always hate to post catalogs not knowing much about them, but here I go again. American Meadows have a sale 50% off ending this week. My Security system states safe. And yes I have an order I placed today.
