Spring 2009 East Tennessee Plant Swap

We have two announcements about the Spring 2009 East Tennessee Plant Swap. The first one is about our name. We are officially re-establishing our name as the East Tennessee Plant Swap (or ETPS). Laura may still keep both web address active (I'm not sure), but, when the site is updated, we'll no longer have references to the Knoxville Plant Swap.

Secondly, and probably most importantly, we've set a date, time, and location for the Spring Swap! The Spring Swap will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at New Harvest Park in East Knoxville. Setup will begin at noon, lunch will be from 12:30 to 1:30, and plant swaps will begin at 1:30. We shifted the time by a half hour to give those that go to church or live far away a little extra time to get to the swap.

Laura will update our website soon, so directions and more information will be available from the site when the updates are complete. If anyone has questions in the meantime, please post them here or email me.

Sweet! Looks ya'll picked a great location. I don't know who pulled the trigger on New Harvest but that was an excellent call.

Oddly enough, Lavonne and I may be up that way on Memorial Day weekend. Since we are turning 50 this year she wants to go to the mountains and hike the Chimney's because she's never done it before. So we might actually be there Sunday! Our legs may be jelly so we'll probably need wheelchairs, walkers and assistance just to move though.

Hurray!!! Thanks Brandon. This is wonderful. I'd been wondering when a date would be decided. It helps to liven the spirits! Thanks to you, Laura and whoever else works at putting together our swap. It is sooooo much fun.
