The original 2010 East TN Plant Events Calendar thread is becoming out-of-date and disorganized, and, there are more events to add, so I think it's best to start this new thread. Here's an updated version of the calendar:

Saturday, 27 February 2010, 8:30am - 5pm : Conifers for Gardeners program at the UT Gardens in Knoxville

Saturday, 27 March 2010, 9am - 2pm : Spring Plant Sale at Racheff House and Gardens

Saturday, 17 April 2010, 9am - 3pm : Spring Plant Sale at the UT Arboretum in Oak Ridge featuring hardy camellias

Saturday, 24 April 2010, 8:30am - 1:30pm : Spring Native Plant Sale at Ijams Nature Center in Knoxville

Saturday, 24 April 2010, 9am - 3pm : Spring Plant Sale at Franklin Square in Knoxville

Saturday, sometime in early to mid April, time TBA : Talahi Plant Sale

Saturday, 8 May 2010, 9am - 2pm : Spring Plant Sale at the UT Gardens in Knoxville

Saturday, 22 May 2010, time TBA : Middle Tennessee Spring Plant Swap at Henry Horton State Park

Saturday and Sunday, 26 & 27 June 2010, time TBA : Blooms Days at the UT Gardens in Knoxville

Saturday, 13 March 2010, 8:30am - 1:15pm : Growing Beautiful Roses Made Easy seminar at Rooms 156 & 157 of the Plant Biotech Building on the UT Ag Campus. (You must preregister and pay a $10 fee or come the day of the event and pay $15.)

Well, now the Ijams calendar is showing 8:30-1:30 as the public times. So confusing... Guess I'll show up at 8:30 and tell them to let me in.

Well, if you missed either of the sales today, you probably didn't miss much. Fewer vendors were at each locations. And, generally, the plants were the same stuff you find at Walmart, but just a lot more expensive. The really cool things often seen at the Ijams sales were just not there.
