Plant ID - Blackberry Iris

A friend gave me seeds this week of a plant she calls Blackberry Iris. I'm guessing they are Belamcanda (Blackberry Lily). When I googled Belamcanda the seed images look the same as what she gave me. Has anyone else ever heard of them being called 'iris' or any other idea of what it might be? I'm planting them anyway but curious as to what they are.

The Belamcanda genus is in the Iridaceae family, so they are very closely related to plants in the Iris genus. When the Species Iris Group of North America has a seed swap, Belamcanda seeds are often offered.

Like any plant labeled with a common name, the only sure way to identify it is to identify it yourself after you grow it, or ask the source for the correct botanical name.
