Confederate Rose

Can anyone tell me how deep to plant a confederate rose seed. The directions that came with the seed said two inches. Hard for me to believe a seed that small (pin head size) needs to be planted that deep. Can't find anything on Google except to just plant. Thanks for any advice.

Yep, just cover them lightly (maybe 1/16" to 1/8") and ignore directions included with seeds.
