For the hardy oleander folks...

Ok, it appears that the stems are still green on my hardy red oleanders but most of the leaves are severely discolored. None have fallen off, however, or become brittle. Are they toast or will they come back?

If the stems are green there's always hope!

I have zero experience with oleander, but hang in there. Warm weather is just around the corner!

Ours did that last year and came back from near the bottom of the stems. The leaves are discolored again this year, so I presume that it will come back from the bottom again. It did get up to about 4 ft tall last year after coming up from the bottom.

I just purchased an Oleander yesterday, it didn't have any information to tell me if it's hardy or not. It has burgandy red buds. Would it be better to plant it in the ground or in a pot? I'm south of Chatt. on the mountain. I have no experience with them but from what I've read zone 7 is too cold for them. If you have any information I'd appreciate it.
