| We live in the Sewanee/Monteagle area. Our soil is a sort of clay/sandstone. I need a recommendation for which kind of wisteria to plant (have the perfect porch/balcony); how to supplement the soil; and possibly a suggestion from anyone local for where to get a good healthy vine.

| I planted a chinese wisteria tree in my front yard and just yesterday dug it up to place weed barrier and a decorative border around it. Recently while looking for a vine someone told me to be careful their roots can take over ...well when I dug mine up the roots were twice the size of the lil vine and twice as thick....all of that to say....my advise is to check out American wisteria. |

| Chinese Wisteria is super invasive. I think there are two native wisterias. |
