Cedar glade!

Well, I am just vastly entertained. I visited my new property in Lebanon again today, and took a bunch more pics (more than 200!). The back of the property is full of wildflowers. I identified several of the species back there, and guess what -- it looks like I've got a genuine cedar glade back there! Most of the flowers I've identified so far are common to or even endemic to cedar glades.

So far I've ID'd:

glade sandwort -- Arenaria patula

glade cress -- Leavenworthia spp.

Nashville breadroot -- Pediomelum subacaule

glade phacelia -- Phacelia dubia

least bluet -- Houstonia pusilla

false aloe, *maybe* -- Manfreda virginica

Sedum pulchellum -- pink stonecrop

cyanobacteria -- Nostoc commune

square pleurochaete moss -- Pleurochaete squarrosa

My favorite so far is the breadroot. Very nice!

More pics later in the week!
