Japanese Maple Collector's Opportunity

The UT Arboretum Plant Sale next weekend is going to be even more special than usually. Lashbrooke Nursery (a Japanse Maple wholesaler) has agreed to supply 50 different varieties of Japanese Maples for the sale and the nursery's owner will be there on site to answer any questions and help anyone, not familiar with all the different cultivars, to choose the best varieties for their wants and needs. So, not only will there be a broad variety of perennials and woody plants of all kinds, but the sale will also offer one of the best collections of Japanese Maples ever offered to the public.

Any chance of getting a cultivar list before the sale?

Well, maybe. If you go to Lashbrooke's site and look at his current in-stock list for the cultivars available in smaller sizes, I have a feeling that that would be pretty close to what will be there. He said he would provide 50 cultivars, and his list has about 50 cultivars available. If you see one that you really can't live without, you might want to come on Friday evening (members only - if you're not a member, you could become one at the entrance) or very early Saturday.

Thanks Brandon! I was able to get most of the varieties at the top of my want list, and it was nice to talk to the guy from Lashbrooke. I'm glad I got a chance to be there!
