Personal Invitation to the East TN Iris Society Meeting

You are personally invited to attend the next meeting of the East Tennessee Iris Society. Our next meeting will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 5955 West Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37931. The meeting officially begins at 7:00pm, but most members (and visitors) will get there by 6:30pm for social time and snacks.

If you happen to have dwarf iris in bloom and wish to show off your babies, bring them to the meeting. Also, if you have extra dwarf iris (or larger ones, for that matter) bring them to share. If you can offer some of these cuties a good home, please be prepared to adopt (for free) at the meeting!

At this meeting, we'll be discussing plans for our annual show (Saturday, April 30 at Knoxville Center Mall) and Bloomsday (Saturday, May 7 from 9am to 5pm and Sunday, May 8 from 10am to 4pm at the UT Gardens on the Knoxville ag campus).

If anyone in the Knoxville area is interested in knowing more about growing or showing irises, please feel free to attend our meetings. They are held at 7 pm on the second Monday of the months March through October at Bethel United Methodist Church, 5955 West Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37931. Doors are open at 6:30 pm for socializing and refreshments.
