I agree. Almost certainly Ornithogalum, and very likely to be Ornithogalum umbellatum. There are over 100 species in the Ornithogalum genus and some are pretty similar to umbellatum. Quite a few are called some type of "Star-of-Bethlehem".

If you found it growing "wild", I'd say the chances of it being Ornithogalum umbellatum are pretty much 100%. It's an invasive species (TN-EPPC lesser threat) in Tennessee.

I live in middle tn,have the same thing,it's gets in my flower beds. I'm always pulling it up,although I wish I could put it somewhere by itself .They're pretty little flowers don't you think.

That's exactly what I do, blueirismoon. I have a couple flowerbeds on the edge of my yard near more natural areas. Everytime I find a stray Grape Hiacynth, Star of Bethlehem, etc. I transplant it safely into one of these spots so it can thrive undisturbed.

I've had to divide clumps of monkey-grass and those too have found there way into those beds giving it a more intended appearance. They all seem very appreciative.

These two beds are finally filling in and proving their status along with the other, less wild, flowerbeds in the yard.

I may have to start a new flowerbed for them too and I know just the place I can start it!

They are kind of pretty. Too bad they aren't environmentally friendly.

I can't believe how much of this I've seen since reading this post. Guess I just never paid much attention to it before, but it's EVERYWHERE around here!
