In praise of the Cast Iron Plant

I'm surprised that these are not more popular! Great tropical-looking foliage through the winter. Mine have never died to the ground; I simply cut off the rough-looking leaves of the bunch every spring and new shoots soon come up (right now actually). Go get yourself one today!

Myrtleoak, do you get Plant Delights catalogs. In their lastest one, they have 5 types offered. They say they should have even a better selection soon.

We actually do have some cast iron plant, and its in our tropical beds now that you mention it. Ours is a varigated thats coming up right now
