Help - identify this plant

I bought this plant at Stanley's maybe a year or two ago.

It was very, very small at the time of purchase.

I just noticed a bloom on it.

It occurred to me that I have completely forgotten the variety of dogwood. In fact, I am not certain that it is a dogwood, but I believe that "dogwood" was on it's label when I purchased it.

Thanks for trying... but are you sure it isn't working?

I am cutting & pasting that address into the "address bar" above, and it goes right to the photo.

Is it possible to embed a photo into a Garden Forum posting so that there's no need to cut & paste?

I think it worked!
I guess there are so many varieties of Dogwoods that this is not an easy ID task.

Post your pictures in the tree forum, and I bet you'll get an answer quickly. I avoid making IDs when possible; I hate taking the chance of being wrong. (-;
