There's one place I go to for pesticides, advice, mulch, etc. that is quite organic. I don't remember the name of it right now though. :-\ It's on Murfreesboro Road, heading towards LaVergne on the left about 1/2 mile before Waldron Road.

Yea, I think that's them. =) They sold me some 1 gallon black plant buckets at 15 cents a piece on Friday! Great deal.

This is a bit late, but we have used products from The Compost Farm with decent results. We are also organic so I can provide some suggestions, but no real quick fix. You may want to consider raised beds for this year. If you'd like some soil building tips, feel free to e-mail me.

Woodlawn Cemetery on Thompson Lane will give you all the dirt you want for free. I mean anything from a wheelbarrow load to several dump truck loads. That's where I get all my backfill and flower bed dirt. Some is topsoil and some is clay and there may even be some rock in it but it's FREE and you can add whatever you need (compost, fert, nutrients) to it for a small out-of-pocket expense. I just throw it down, till it into the ground and add whatever it needs.
