Vermiculite

I'm a complete novice gardener and have jumped onto the Square Foot Garden plan. I need to locate some Vermiculite in the Nashville/Brentwood/Franklin TN area. Has anyone been able to locate a source in this area? Thanks in advance!

James

We were able to get some at the Fairview Coop earlier this spring. Check out the website for stores around the area.
I had to call a couple stores before I found the one that had it in stock. Let us know what you hear. I might have a whole, unopened bag left that I could sell to you if you can't find anything.

Here is a link that might be useful: Tennessee Co-op

If either of you locate a source of it (again) locally, let me know. I had to order it from ebay earlier this year and I always get raped on shipping charges whenever I ::sings:: "do it e---bay"

lol

I'm in Knoxville, but I bought some at Wal-Mart last week. It was $2.84 for a couple gallons.

Any Farmers Coop can order it for you. May take a week to get it in-but they CAN get it. They will also send in your soil test sample--free of charge.

OK, stupid question, what is a farmer's co-op and where might i locate one?

I've only recently moved down here about a year ago.
