Introduction...

Hello, all! I've been a lurker on this board for a couple of months now, and I thought I would finally introduce myself. I can only post from the library computer because my cell phone won't let me log onto GW. My name Kerry and I live in Lenoir City. My family is full of gardeners, but I've not had much luck. I am determined to do well this year with a few things...the challenge is to not go overboard! I am married to a very non-gardening man. He recently asked why we were at the nursery because I hadn't killed my other plants yet...lol. We have 3 indoor kitties and a feral colony in our neighborhood, so that just adds to my challenges, but I'm sure I can work through any issues that pop up, especially with the great advice I've read on this forum. My apologies in advance for not posting anything for a few days. I promise it's not poor manners, just internet access issues.

Welcome Kerry! Â Every real gardener has killed their share of plants.Â I think what helped me when I really got serious about gardening is that I purchased a couple of basic gardening books that described the conditions that common plants require AND I got serious about ammended my beds with compost and manure.Â Â I still kill some plants, but it's usually when I buy things are not well suited for our zone.Hang in there and just have fun!!!

Welcome aboard! I'm a fellow lurker too...well, until spring that is. I've been a member here since 2001 (i think) and I pop in every sping to check on everyone. Welcome! You can learn a LOT here.

Glad to have you join us Kerry! I doubt that anyone on GW is more adept at killing off all their plants, flowers, shrubs, bushes and trees than am I but that doesn't stop me!!!
