I'm mostly a Japanese Maple collector, but unfortunately I'm getting a bit burnt out by the local selection. Most of the JMs in the Middle TN area are all Monrovia stock. I don't have anything against Monrovia quality, although they are very pricey, but they have the same half dozen cultivars at nearly every nursery. So the question is, does anyone have any suggestions for nurseries that might not be supplied by Monrovia and have different JM tree stock locally. I can and have bought a lot online but it would be nice to buy local. |

| If you have a particular cultivar in mind, you could check out the wholesale growers in TN to see why grows it, and then contact them for a retailer. |

| I bought several baby JMs off of ebay this winter. So far they are all doing fine. IMHO, the net is going to be your best bet for really interesting varieties that are still affordable! |
