| There might be a possibility we'll be moving to northern Tennessee (northwest of Nashville). As you can see by my name I LOVE peonies. I always thought of them as cold weather perennials. What type grows in Tennessee? |

| I'm surprised no one has answered yet. My herbaceous peonies do great here. They are all in full sun and even in a somewhat dry location. They are tough as nails. I haven't personally grown any tree peonies or intersectionals, but I hear they do best with evening shade and sufficiently moist soil, here in Tennessee. I would love to grow some tree peonies, but haven't developed the location I want to plant them at, yet. It's on my to-do list...sometime. |
