Plant love is a good thing. It sounds just gorgeous. Now I have to look that flower up. Those colors sound like they would go great with cannas. I hope it multiplys like mad for ya.

I grow it and may have been the source you got yours from. I planted mine spring of 2008 and got one bloom then bam! This year they have exploded! I have 2 big clumps and they WILL multiply quickly! The girl I got it from called it a hawaiian iris but I found out later it was really a crocosmia. Here's a pic of mine.

Thanks Jen, you were my source. The blooms really stand out! I placed my in a bed that gets full sun except late evening. Mine does not have as much foliage as yours, but a few more blooms. Plan to order other varieties.

I think this is what they were selling at the Summer Celebration in Jackson. Everyone was walking around with one. Now I wish I'd gotten one! Waaaa!

Aw Jen! Thank you! OK, I feel better!! :D What can I bring you? I am layering some common lilac, Kumson Forsythia, Aucuba, Autumn Joy sedum and maybe some other groundcover sedum that's kind of blue. Any of those sound appealing? :)

Another good thing about crocosmia is that hummingbirds love them. I wouldn't want to be without one. Judy
