| So I was checking out some Japanese iris online (yes, you should bring them to the swap) when I came across a page of the Pacific Coast ones. They were very tempting. Can we grow them here or do they need less humid summers? |

| I might should not even respond since I really don't know, but, if I had to bet, I'd say they would be fine with a little afternoon shade and some really well draining soil (maybe a raised bed). I grow a number of iris species and have found most to be extremely adaptable. |
