What blooms in late May-early June?

I'm in East TN.

We just had a pond tour and it was SO hot so our koi club is thinking of having the annual tour in late May or early June next year.

So , what blooms around that time?

I've already got a pretty good list started by going back and looking at some of my photos but I'm sure there are things that others have that I don't.

Here's what I have so far:

Iris

ground ivy

English ivy

pink evening primrose

wisteria

red hot poker

bachelor buttons

hostas

water hyacinth (if weather is warm enough)

purple salvia (sorry , don't know what the name is)

lambs ear

coral bells

some water lilies

paperwhites

roses

dianthus

banana plant is up

wigelia (sp?)

Mrs. Perry D. Slocum lotus

canna

clematis

Mtn. Laural

ice plant

petunia

imptaiens

pansy

I can't remember either. I've had to cheat and look at pictures I took.

Chris, thanks I hadn't even thought of those.

If we do change the date of the tour I wanted to be able to give a list to our members soon so they could plan ahead and maybe get some things in the ground before next spring.

It seems like most of my summer-flowering perennials have historically looked their best around this time. I remember because the garden usually is at its peak right around our wedding anniversary, June 5.

Hi there--I'm in East TN also and am new to the forum! Just thought I'd chime in and say 'Husker Red' penstemon, 'May Night' salvia, 'Rozanne' geranium, and alliums would be nice choices for blooming in that time frame.
