Not once have I seen snarky, rude postings on the TN gardening forum. Maybe I missed one? Lol, doubt it. Some of the other forums have some that go back and forth or are....well you get the idea. NEVER seen that here.
Follow-Up Postings:

Unfortunately, I've seen (and heard about) quite a bit of it over the years. I can even remember when people were publicly "disinvited" to swaps and hot back-and-forth arguments that went on for days. I always hear that gardeners are friendly people, and I think that's generally true. But, it's not a guarantee. I've met some of the friendliest people I know of on this forum (and through the East Tennessee Plant Swap), but sometimes you just get a bad apple. The trick is to not let one bad apple spoil the bunch. (-:

Yeah, brandon, that's true. I hope to be able to make a swap next spring, I live in the Maury County area- isn't there one close to me? I might not have much to swap, but I'd go just to meet my fellow TN gardeners.

Novice 2009, If you live in the Maury county area you might want to consider visiting the Spring Hill Garden Club. Lots of good people there! Our July meeting is touring a daylily garden but August is here in town. If you want more info feel free to email me through my GardenWeb profile!

The MTPS is the closest plant swap to you (that I know of). Here's a link to their site, and of course there's always info about it on this forum before each swap. The MTPS site is not up to date right now, but check back later. We frequently have middle Tennessee people come to the East Tennessee Plant Swap too. It's a little bit of a drive, but you could make a weekend out of it and see the Smokeys or something.

For the most part we are a calm group here in Tn. But like any group of diverse people, there will be disagreements. Only this group has learned to play nice. You are always welcome to all the swaps that you want to go to. We are here in the west corner. We would love to have you visit us anytime!
