Fall plantings-

I'm wondering when a good time would be recommended to plant fall greens, broccoli and the such? It's been a few years since I have had a veg. garden. I've read to plant now, and also read Sept....it's so blame hot I don't want to jeopardize lossing seed and plants...

Check out the University of Tennessee Extension website at www.utextension.utk.edu/ . Choose the "Publications" link over on the left hand side. That will take you to a wealth of information.

I've searched around Murfreesboro but can't find any Fall greens to plant. Any suggested sources in mid-TN?

If you are close to a local farmers co-op they should have Fall green seed for sowing. I bought mine there. A lot of local hardware stores that have garden supplies should also.
