Drought causing leaf-fall...

OK, I've never *really* experienced a drought before, on one hand it's amazing to see my trees rain leaves in august as if it was october, on the other hand, it terrifies me that they may be dying off for good and never come back.

Any of you old-timers from around middle tennessee want to reassure me that my pin oaks losing their leaves in july/august is from the heat and not because they're dying of some random disease?

Is anyone else experiencing a massive leaf-fall right now off their trees? At this rate, mine will be bare before the end of this month, maybe next month, tops...and most "white" oaks usually keep their leaves until spring, or I had thought.
